Отель, который обязательно стоит посетить в Эдинбурге! Номера просто великолепные, идеально подходят для фотосессий! Много антикварного бархатного декора, но при этом очень чисто. Номера находятся в здании напротив стойки регистрации; попасть туда можно только по лестнице. Однако персонал помог нам донести багаж до номеров при заселении и даже подарил приветственные шоколадки. Мы решили позавтракать в номере. Выбор блюд был довольно скудным, а фрукты не очень сладкими и свежими. Вероятно, лучше было бы позавтракать в ресторане. В целом, мы остались очень довольны. Цена высокая, но оно того стоит! Настоятельно рекомендуем!

30 лет назад мы ужинали здесь, а теперь, в годовщину свадьбы, вернулись и остались на ночь. Какое очарование! Персонал исключительно приветлив и дружелюбен, а сам отель просто потрясающий! Какая радость провести ночь в Armoury!

We had a lovely time in this beautiful Hotel. We were dreaming of this place for years, and finally managed to book a room. We felt like time travelling with the beautiful decoration and facilities. The staff was absolutely lovely and extremely professional ! We will come back for sure. Thank you again to all the Witchery team.

We stayed at The Witchery to celebrate our 20th anniversary and were really looking forward to the experience, both at the hotel and the restaurant. Unfortunately, it fell well short of expectations. Upon arrival, we felt more like a nuisance than welcomed guests. We dropped off our bags and returned later when our room was ready, only to be greeted by a concierge who seemed not to recognize us from earlier (it's an 8 room hotel). Not exactly the warm welcome you hope for, especially for a special occasion. The room itself was unique and eclectic. We appreciated the character and atmosphere, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to the setting. We expected the restaurant to be a highlight, but the service was slow, the dishes were rather bland, and the beef was disappointingly chewy. Later that night, our sleep was interrupted around 3 a.m. by noisy neighboring guests. The only highlights were the night porter, who brought us breakfast early and helped with our luggage, he was a very kind gentlemen, as well as our driver that The Witchery helped arrange to the airport. We understand the charm and appeal of The Witchery, but charm alone doesn't justify the price. For what we paid, we expected exceptional hospitality, a memorable dining experience, and a comfortable night's sleep. Unfortunately, we didn't feel we received any of those. For comparison, we also stayed at The Balmoral during our trip, and it was far and away a better experience and well worth the value. The overall hospitality and experience made it clear what a difference thoughtful service can make. We've reached out to The Witchery twice since our stay to share our concerns and express our disappointment, but have yet to receive a response. That lack of follow-up has only added to our frustration. We were excited to celebrate such a special milestone here, which makes the disappointment even greater. Ultimately, The Witchery felt more focused on its reputation and atmosphere than on delivering the experience its prices promise. We left wishing we'd spent that money elsewhere.

We stayed in the Guardsroom at The Witchery for 2 nights. The suite was beautiful and looked over the roof tops of Old Town. The towels provided were big and fluffy, and the suite had everything we could have needed. We were going on a tour early one morning and the team kindly delivered a breakfast hamper early as we would have missed the normal hotel breakfast. I was happy with just something small but a feast was delivered and we were so grateful. The location is perfect- right beside Edinburgh Castle on the Royal Mile. Thank you for a very special stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Witchery in Edinburgh! We stayed in the Guard Room Suite, and it was absolutely beautiful — truly worth every penny. The room was stunning, with so much character and attention to detail, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Everything was routinely cleaned and beautifully maintained, and the staff were wonderful. Any time we needed assistance, it was easy to get ahold of someone, and everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The Witchery really does live up to its name — and then some! It’s such a unique and magical experience, and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special experience in Edinburgh.

We booked The Witchery for our anniversary and first trip to Edinburgh! The service was astounding and the level of detail to arrival/departure logistics, room features, and beauty in general was beyond what I imagined. This is a must if you are a medieval or Renaissance nerd like us, and we stayed in the Turret which gave us gorgeous views of not just the Royal Mile, but the Forth and islands beyond. The staff were kind, attentive, and the food/drinks at the Witchery restaurant is a MUST. We had tea in the Secret Garden and dinner in the main dining room. Their breakfasts are also very substantial and come with options of either in person dining or a full hamper brought to your suite. Booking directly through them also got us complimentary champagne, which is their in-house blend and a lovely way to start your stay. This experience was worth every penny and we will be back!
